  Kindred Journeys International has a professional team of adoption, culture and travel specialists in the United States and in the countries where we journey.  We have established a reliable network of travel agencies, guides, adoption officials and orphanages.  We understand what these journeys mean to your family, and possess the unique skills and qualifications to provide you with both logistical and emotional support as you plan for and engage in your Journey.  We help with everything from arranging international flights, passports and visas, to finding and arranging connections with people and places that are important to your family, suggesting packing lists and gifts to bring to the important people you will meet, to being there to listen to your family as you express your desires, fears, concerns, joys and wonders as we journey together on this most profound adventure.

Deborah Johnson
    Chief Executive Officer and Director of Programs, Deborah Johnson is a Korean American Adoptee and mother of two adult children. She has been an adoption professional  for over 20 years, working with adoptive families and adoptees in a variety of pre- and post-adoption settings. She is a nationally known presenter and is currently a columnist for Adoptive Families Magazine.  She has traveled with hundreds of families on heritage  tours to many countries and has a special commitment to supporting adoptees as they explore their identities in this way.

Debra Lach  
   Debra Lach, our Managing Director, is the mother of two young adults who were adopted from Kolkata, India.  She is active in the  international adoption community and has worked with businesses and schools to address issues of racism and discrimination.  Debra has experience as a middle-school teacher and has worked extensively with children and young adults. As vice-president at a large travel and financial services company for many years, Debra had extensive international travel experience, both for business and pleasure.  She travels regularly to a number of countries, supporting families as they explore the people and places that are important to them.
